A Great Way To Give Back

I think I've found a great way to give something back to those who have enriched my life. Every year my wife and I donate money, time and items to charity, not really knowing where the money goes or who benefits. I've recently got involved with a charity in Africa who's mission is to create sustainable development projects that lead to independence and community ownership.

One such project that www.LiftUpAfrica.org initiated and funded was to bring solar cooking to many African families. These modest solar cookers have been literally life changing occurrence for entire families. The benefits families are realizing are:

Cooking is cleaner with the stove - there is no smoke to breath in.
Saved time and lower kerosene consumption
Far fewer accidents around the fire
No longer need to find firewood
